I'm so happy you are interested in having me come visit your community.

My presentation is best suited for children preschool through fifth grade.  I share stories about being different and address acceptance and diversity using interactive games and discussion.   I use PowerPoint to read Everybody Has Something, stopping to talk a little about the kids on each page. Most kids haven't been able to stare at kids who look different than they look, so a lot of learning takes place here. I tie it all together with a slideshow presentation to music and end with questions and comments from the kids. I usually get a lot of "I have..." comments. It becomes a safe environment to share feelings.

I also am able to incorporate the self-publishing process and show examples of my early book drafts and pictures.

My presentation usually lasts about 45 minutes and I'm willing to do up to three in a day. Right now I'm able to visit communities at the cost of $450 each day (up to three presentations) plus travel cost and accommodations (nothing fancy, a motel-six works for me).

I am very up-beat, energetic and enjoyable to listen to.  Sometimes teachers have to sit through my presentation several times with different groups, and they often comment that they "enjoyed it every time".

To find out what people in other communities are saying about me, check out the "What People Are Saying" section of this Website.

I look forward to meeting you.
